Financial Opportunity Center® Model
Lutheran Social Services of Northeast Florida's Steps 2 Success (S2S) program uses the Financial Opportunity Center ® (FOC) model so more community members like you can reach their goals.
We weave financial coaching, career development, and income support services together so community members like you can build family-sustaining careers and achieve your financial goals.
We are part of a national network of trusted community-based organizations, supported by LISC, who host FOC programming and provide our community with greater access to opportunity.
Our coaches meet people where they are, providing support, tools, and information proven to help create lasting and positive change.
Career & Employment Opportunities
Income is the foundation of financial health. Our goal is to help people secure new and higher-paying employment—jobs that meet monthly expenses and open the door to promotions. Let’s get working!
Financial Health Services
Managing your budget can get challenging. We make it easier and help you byoffering one-on-one financial coaching to set priorities, manage debt, build credit,grow savings, and achieve your long-term goals.
Household Income Supports
You don’t have to do it alone! FOC staff can connect you with stabilizing income supports such as food and childcare assistance, affordable health insurance and more to help you stay on target towards your goals. Talk to your FOC coach to find out more.
Digital Skills
We live in an increasingly digital world and today jobs and personal finance management often require new skills. Our programs weave digital skills development into our FOC services to make success easier for you. Interested in learning more? Bring up digital skills at your next coaching check-in!
Kimba Clark's journey from homelessness to stability with Lutheran Social Services' Steps 2 Success (S2S) program showcases resilience and unwavering support. After a chance encounter with S2S, Kimba embarked on a transformative path. With coaching, resources, and determination, she secured employment, housing, and financial stability within a year.

Program Partners
LSS is part of a community of businesses that have partnered up to break the chains of poverty and create generational wealth through helping those in the community maintain and increase their overall assets.
The partners making S2S possible: LISC Jacksonville, United Way of Northeast Florida, Siemer Institute,
Kids Hope Alliance , and Nywes Healthcare. Steps 2 Success operates from both 4615 Philips Highway 32207 and its principal site 1601 Kings Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32209.

S2S is client-focused and driven by each client’s unique vision, all client services after the initial orientation are offered one-on-one with S2S staff.
Services are available to anyone 18 or older who has the time and commitment.
