The Beaches Car Wash and Gift Gallery recently made a generous $4,000 contribution to Lutheran Social Services. Owners Brian Martin and David Johnson are proud to give back to their community, and take every opportunity to do so.
“We live and work in Jacksonville, and we like to help others in our very own community,” Martin said.
LSS is a local non-profit organization that offers five programs that help those facing hardships in our local community to stabilize their lives and earn a fresh start. LSS serves more than 8,000 individuals every month with services that range from hunger-relief to financial and jobs coaching.
The St. Nicholas location of the Beaches Car Wash opened its doors in 1969, making it the longest-running car wash in Jacksonville. A second Jacksonville Beach location opened in 1989.
Both locations offer environmentally friendly full-service washes, express exterior washes, express detail services and merchandise. Beaches Car Wash and Gift Gallery offers a customized experience to its customers.
LSS President/CEO Bill Brim was thrilled by the news of the donation but not surprised.
“Brian and David have championed the work of LSS and other local charities for many years,” Brim said. “Beaches Car Wash is more than a local business—it’s a partner in making our community a better place. Their gift will directly impact hundreds of families!”
Martin and Johnson encourage others to make a splash before summer is gone, and join them in donating!
