She has maintained stable employment, and gained the confidence to pursue further career and entrepreneurial aspirations. Since starting her position, CW has earned two pay raises and a promotion, boosting her income by 13%. Through strategic financial decisions, she resolved prior delinquencies, improved her credit score by 92 points, and transitioned off SNAP benefits. With the increased financial independence, she was able to purchase a more reliable car, which greatly enhanced her personal and professional growth.
CW is now focused on securing a livable wage, ensuring long-term financial security. She is committed to homeownership, aiming to create a stable home that will not only provide security for her children but also build generational wealth for her family. Building further on long term goals, she is saving for her children’s education and building an emergency fund, all while continuing to strengthen her credit and financial foundation.
As a role model, CW takes pride in her children’s achievements. Her son, a senior in high school, has enlisted in the Marines and is preparing for his service. Her daughter, a junior specializing in Cosmetology, has been employed part-time at Publix for almost a year and will attend college after graduation next year. CW’s dedication to both her career and her children’s futures is a testament to her unwavering commitment to providing them with a better life.
Beyond her career and financial goals, CW is also determined to complete her degree. She has successfully published her latest book, Bits & Peacez, available on Amazon, and through her journey, she is giving back to the community. The LSS Steps 2 Success Program, Jacksonville's first FOC®, was launched in 2018 and is located in the New Town Success Zone. Participants in the program saw an average monthly income increase of $1,147 and a credit score increase of 56 points.
